The purpose of BESO is to create a group that supports not only bilingual education but every major at UHD. Our organization supports professional development, community service, continuing education, and serves as a support group for any type of help you might need. The BESO organization offers students the opportunity to create a living-learning community where you belong and become engaged individuals with strong leadership skills. We try to give back to our community as much as possible, help you with academics, and strive to make your time at UHD fun!

PAY A FEE
$25 for 1 semester
$35 for 2 semesters
$30 for PD3 and PD4

ONE MEETING
You'll have to attend 1 meeting hosted by BESO & show proof! You can find out more about when meetings take place by clicking on me!
ONE FUNDRAISER EVENT
You'll have to complete 1 fundraiser event and show proof of it. You can find out what fundraiser events are taking place by clicking on me!
TWO SOCIAL EVENTS
You'll need to attend two social events and show proof of it. Find out our upcoming events on our Events tab!
ONE VOLUNTEER EVENT
You must volunteer at least once in the semester to fulfill this requirement.We are also offering another way to fulfill this requirement and that is by donating to a fundraiser and or volunteer event.

FLOYD TRIMBLE LOCAL UNIT OF THE YEAR AWARD ACCEPTANCE AT THE ATPE SUMMIT!

Four of our wonderful officers/past officers; Paloma Esparza, Tonya Cruz, Stephanie Salas, and Andrea Jasso were able to attend the ATPE 2022 summit were they accepted the Floyd Trimble Local Unit of the Year! BESO was so honored to be a contender and we are very proud of far we have come and grown!
SPRING FESTIVAL ATÂ ERMEL ELEMENTARY!!

Our BESO team hosted a Spring Festival at Ermel Elementary and we were able to have fun games and prizes for students. Special shoutout to Professor Torres for allowing BESO to host this event!
BACK TO SCHOOL BASKET RAFFLE

With the beginning of the semester drawing near our amazing BESO team put together a basket that had lots of goodies for the lucky winner. All proceeds went to funding our supply drive!

Our BESO graduating and active members had the opportunity to attend our Gala Celebration for the Spring 2023 semester! Our graduating members got personalized goodies! Everyone who came got food, and pictures!
